Going For Broke
58% Zinfandel, 20% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 6% Petite Sirah, 6% Mourverde
Fermented in stainless steel and small open top bins. The fruit was 100% sorted and de-stemmed. The must spent 20 days on the skins with frequent punch downs. Aged in neutral French barriques for 18 months.
Dusi, Hastings, Kiler Grove, Alta Colina, Terra Bella, Paso Ono, and Luna Matta
Bursting with freshness and ripe berry fruit. The Zinfandel provides a soft, round, and juicy base for the blend, and the Syrah is deep, spicy and saturated. The Petite Sirah, Grenache, and Mourvedre provide the perfect blend of aromatics: Dark fruit, leather, and the almighty spice rack. The tannins are well-defined and balanced by high natural acidity.
